(...) Then came the main attraction. I was kind of upset by how many people left before Helium started, but I think it may have helped the whole mood of their amazing show. Helium played through their wonderfully beautiful songs better than any band that I remember seeing.... ever! Mary Timony's nearly erotic voice was almost as beautiful as she is. Her guitar playing despite a few obvious mistakes was nearly as wonderful as her voice. Ash Bowie played some of the most melodic bass lines I've heard, to compliment the almost sloppy indie style of the band. Shawn Devlin kept some near perfect consistent beats among all the ambient indie noise. Helium also had a new keyboard player named Kendall Meade who played with them. She was a good compliment to the rest of the band, adding some nearly subsonic noises in the mist of the trebly guitar. To say the least this show was one for the books. If anybody reading this EVER gets the chance to see them... I suggest you do it!
