> Green 4 is Anna Johannson, Erin MacLean, and Mary Timony. They play a variety of instruments,switching often during their set. Mary plays drums on a couple of songs, sometimes singing at the same time. Erin and Anna often play the bass at the same time or they play red, strap-on old school keyboards. Erin also drums on one song. However, they also use the drum machine extensively, sometimes even with live drums. Mary also plays guitar some, but a lot of keyboard as well, though not the same type as Erin and Anna. They have played a handful of live shows with no formal releases yet. They are selling homemade CDs, a "demo" with six songs.
CMJ had this description to offer of the band (for its preview to the CMJ Marathon, which Green 4 played):"Mary Timony has let her Helium float away, replacing it with a more core version of her cosmic rock of yore." *

> Anna used to co-run Slow River Records and played bass in the band Lincoln 65. She is now in Pee Wee Fist, who have played shows with Green 4, Mary solo, and Helium. Anna is also responsible for the cover and design of the WMBR Pipeline! releasethat Helium is on, and that Slow River released.*
